Inspire Motorsport has announced that the team will be re-branded as CORE autosport. Currently, CORE autosport fields three cars in the Cooper Tires Prototype Lites Championship. The team is leading both the Team Championship and the Driver’s Championship with Charlie Shears in the #21 car. Based in Rock Hill, South Carolina, CORE autosport is well positioned to take advantage of the motorsport resources found in the greater Charlotte area.

CORE autosport aims to achieve success through strategic investment in equipment and personnel. “We started with a good foundation from the acquisition of Inspire Motorsports. In less than three months we have equipped a race shop and assembled a quality crew of guys,” states Morgan Brady, Team Manager of CORE autosport. The proof is in results. Since taking over Inspire Motorsports, the team’s drivers have won 7 podium positions including 2 wins, 3 second places and 1 third as well as winning 3 pole positions. “I am not going to make any bold claims about where this team is going to be in three or five years, but I will say the future looks bright,” reflects Brady.

CORE autosport’s drivers are confident that on any given weekend they have the right equipment to win races. Gary Gibson, driver of the #13 car and owner of Perfect Pedal: “The car preparation and setup are what helped me win pole position and a flag-to-flag win at Lime Rock.”

“I feel like I always have the car setup that will give me the best opportunity to win,” said Charlie Shears, championship leader in car #21 and owner of SDI Realty. “So far the team has been awesome at providing me everything I need to win and enjoy the experience at each race.”

The team has been working hard at the shop to prepare for the unknowns that are inevitable during a race weekend. “We have already seen the results of our attention to detail,” stated Jonathan Bennett, CORE autosport Team Owner and driver of car #54. “Having a car prepared so that it is easy to drive at the limit with minimal changes during the week is our main objective.”

Jonathan Bennett also owns Composite Resources, a precision design, prototype and manufacturer of composite solutions. “It has always been my dream to own a racing team, so I’m ecstatic that we’re having such a great year,” said Bennett. “And the fact that we can produce Carbon Fiber motorsports components might be useful to the race team as well.”

PERFECT PEDAL was born out of inventor Gary Gibson's frustration with what was available in all but the most expensive (thousands of dollars) simulator pedal sets. All of the low- to midrange pedal sets use a position sensor to measure how far you have pushed the brake pedal. In all real-life brake applications, the force of how hard you push the pedal is what stops the car. This is why it is impossible to even approximately simulate a brake pedal with a position sensor. The Perfect Pedal team went at the problem in a completely new way. We believed the best way to simulate a hydraulic braking system is to use a hydraulic system. This is exactly what we have done and patented. http://www.perfectpedal.com
